Agritourism itself is a hybrid concept that brings together the complex industries of agriculture and travel/tourism. It opens up new and profitable markets for farm products and services, while also providing unique travel experiences for a large regional market. At the Agritourism Foundation, we leverage this innovative concept to empower the most vulnerable smallholder farmers.

Our work is centered on implementing hands-on projects in collaboration with farmer communities, farmer organizations, and local agritourism organizations. We strive to promote entrepreneurial conduct among these groups, enabling them to tap into the vast potential of agritourism. By fostering collaboration and providing support, we empower smallholder farmers to improve their livelihood situations.

As a pre-competitive and independent organization, our efforts are driven by a desire to bring about positive developments in rural areas. We seek funding from private partners, including agribusiness companies and other foundations, as well as public organizations that share our vision. Additionally, we utilize our own resources to support our initiatives. Our primary focus is on improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers, with a particular emphasis on women farmers and youth.
